Lewis Black is a Grammy Award-winning comic who has been a regular commentator on The Daily Show since its inception. He has done six Comedy Central specials, two for HBO and was the host of his own show "The Root of All Evil" on Comedy Central. As an actor, he has appeared in over a dozen films, including Man of the Year and Accepted. He's authored three books, Nothing's Sacred, Me of Little Faith and I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas, all of which debuted on the New York Times Bestseller List. Having written over 40 plays, his work has been performed throughout the country, including the Magic Theatre, the Alley Theatre, EST, the Public Theatre and ACT. Notable plays include: The Laundry Hour,The Czar of Rock and Roll,The Deal,Crossing the Crab Nebula,Nightfall and One Slight Hitch. He was the playwright-in-residence at the West Bank Cafe Downstairs Theatre Bar in New York City, where he helped oversee the production of over a thousand new one act plays. In 2008, he was honored by the Williamstown Theatre Festival having taught and performed with them for ten years.
